Butterscotch Cider
By • Filed In: Cocktails, Party, Recipes

I’m all about a signature drink at parties. I like the fact that it’s been carefully thought out and specially crafted to coordinate with the evening or the theme. So when I was trying to come up with one for our wine party, I started to think about fall and the warm colors we were using in our decorations and our invitations. Apple cider immediately came to mind and so I wanted to incorporate that into the drink somehow. Butterscotch cider is what I landed on.

Butterscotch Cider

1 1/2 oz ketel vodka
1 oz Grand Marnier
2 oz Butterscotch Schnapps
5-6 oz apple cider depending on how sweet or strong you want it

Add vodka, grand marnier and butterscotch schnapps in an Irish coffee cup (i just used a regular glass) and stir. Add the apple cider and garnish with a cinnamon stick. Serve either hot or on the rocks. I personally liked it better cold, so that’s how I served it.

This recipe is for one drink, but I just kept doubling it and made a big batch. That way people could help themselves and I didn’t have to act as the resident bartender all night long.

Please excuse our blurry photo, apparently we were more concerned with tasting our drink than getting a good pic of it. Can you blame us?! It was very tasty!
